The Koorie Heritage Trust Inc (KHT) plays a leading national role in promoting, celebrating and preserving Aboriginal culture. KHT is uniquely recognised as both an Aboriginal community arts centre and a major award winning Melbourne tourist attraction.
In this exciting role, you will help us deliver our vision for the future, which includes relocation and significant redevelopment of our premises as well as an increase in our tourism, touring exhibitions and education activities.
You will provide executive leadership and operational management expertise to the Board of Directors and provide exceptional human resources and financial leadership (including fundraising and government submissions) and strategic planning advice.
An accomplished leader, you will be able to inspire staff and maintain positive working relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong advocacy and negotiation skills are essential, together with proven strategic management experience and experience working with Koorie communities. You will also have an in-depth understanding of the reporting requirements and operating environment of a not-for-profit organisation.
