Our client, a major civil contractor that is responsible for large infrastructure projects throughout Australia currently have a position available for an experienced Environmental Management Officer to join them on a permanent basis and work on a major infrastructure project in regional Victoria.
 
To be successful in this role applicants will need to possess previous experience as an Environmental Engineer or Scientist working on the planning and assessment for infrastructure projects having gained site experience managing the environmental impact assessments on the job. In this role you will need to possess strong water and contaminated water experience and would have previously worked on the construction of weirs, reservoirs, dams, culverts and drainage type projects.
 
Applicants will need to possess an Environmental tertiary qualification with a minimum of 3 to 5 years industry experience with exposure to the management of environmental issues and environmental impact assessment during the design, planning and construction phase's of water orientated infrastructure projects. Applicants must have previous experience when it comes to environmental monitoring, co-coordinating information between government departments, stakeholders and the contractor and have strong documentation skills.
