Our client is an international energy company originally specialized in Oil & Gas technologies with a new division in renewable energy technologies. They are now recruiting a Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join the engineering Team. This is a hands on design role for a Senior Engineer in this field which requires knowledge of best industry practice, quality systems and design procedures. Your responsibilities include: Manage the design and evolution of the company’s control systems, including building and mentoring the Control Systems team Engineering and design of SCADA and PLC for the company’s turbines and electrical control systems Adapt industry standards off the shelf software to assist in the control of the turbine and associated electronic processes Develop new electronic modeling tools to assist in the analysis and design of technical improvements to the turbines and electrical control system Develop technical solutions within the delegated engineering scope for generator and drive systems, PLC and SCADA systems Take lead responsibility in the conceptual development and screening of control related innovations Define and manage all technical interfaces and battery limits within the delegated scope to other disciplines within the engineering department, vendors, suppliers, clients… Design and contract management of vendors and suppliers Develop procurement strategies, design reviews Prepare RFQs and POs for equipment, materials and services, prepare technical evaluations of quotations… You have a Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation / control / Mechatronic Engineering, with excellent academic record and strong experience. Experience in leading a design team is desirable. You also have past experience with PLC, SCADA and other software, variable speed / frequency / regenerative drives, proficiency in MATLAB / Simulink. Ideally you have a mix of methodology from oil & gas projects in an EPC context, and design experience for off shore installation in a consulting engineering multi job / multi tasking environment Salary package will be negotiable upon experience around $140,000 PA Contact our Senior Consultant in Energy & Carbon Julien Lacave on 02 8243 0500 or directly submit your application.
