The Manager of Placement and Family Services is part of Children, Youth and Family Services Senior Management Team. The position has overall responsibility for staff, budget and program management for the Placement and Family Services Program across the Region.
The Manager carries responsibility for the implementation of policy, service development, operation and performance monitoring for a range of externally delivered programs supporting vulnerable children and young people.
The position requires strong relationship, negotiation skills and capacities, given the responsibilities of working closely with the Region’s Child Protection Program and Community Service Organisations. The successful applicant will also be required to provide strategic solutions to complex issues, and be involved in significant service development occurring in relation to Children, Youth and Family Services.
