Our client is one of Australia's manufacturing success stories. With ten plants located around Australia and SE Asia, they are at the forefront of their industry and leaders in the supply of products to their FMCG clients.
As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing the maintenance and minor capital projects on site and managing a team of six direct reports. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance - managing a budget of approximately $4.5m pa to ensure that a preventative maintenance culture is maintained, ensuring efficiency, downtime and wastage are optimized via leading a proactive continuous improvement program.
- Safety & Environment - ensuring all activities conducted on site are complying with OH&S legislation and guidelines
- Quality & Customer Relationships - making decisions to resolve quality issues with minimum impact on the business, building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to meet quality and supply chain goals.
As the successful candidate, you will be a degree qualified mechanical or electrical engineer with a minimum of five years experience in an Engineering/Maintenance Managers position within a high speed manufacturing environment. You will be able to demonstrate your successful track record in managing budgets, contractors and suppliers and maintaining effective preventative maintenance systems.
