RecruitR is currently partnered with a major producer of coal that operates multiple open pit and underground projects throughout Australia. This leading organization is recognised as an Employer of Choice due to the emphasis placed on succession planning and the career opportunities within the group. Due to continued expansion they are currently seeking applications from qualified Electrical Engineers to join their Longwall team at one of their underground mines in the Hunter Valley.
This position offers a desirable lifestyle where you will live in a large town close to the mine. On the weekends you will be able to enjoy the beaches, wineries and all the region has to offer. This is the flagship operation in the company and boasts brand new equipment and a great working environment.
In this position you will be reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager and your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring a safe working environment and adhering to relevant OH&S standards and legislation
- Delivery of engineering projects
- Providing technical support to the Maintenance Department
- Repair and maintenance in designated area
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate previous experience within a similar role. You will also possess tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Previous Longwall experience is essential to your application.
