      The overseas parent company is well known globally as a market leader in the sector in which it operates.  The Australian business has access to the latest global trends in products and services along with global research and analysis.  With a passionate culture of absolute customer focus, the Australian operation is thriving.  In line with corporate strategic direction an opportunity has been created for an IT Manager to join this dynamic team.  The primary objective of this appointment is to convert business needs into IT strategies.

      Reporting to the MD, your major focus is to strategically lead the IT team to be actively involved in all aspects of the business, particularly customer facing IT initiatives and to develop the business into a leader in IT with the express and strategic intention of earning a reputation for being the easiest company for customers to do business with.

      Specific responsibilities include;

·   Provide leadership, coaching & development of the IT team

·   Guide selection, installation, use & maintenance of  computer equipment &  software

·   Proactively manage the relationships with key IT vendors & overseas parent

·   Develop & implement an IT disaster recovery plan

·   Support business leaders with IT systems that ensure business objectives are achieved

·   Plan, direct & control IT related strategic projects and control security of IT systems

      Degree qualified, you have extensive experience as an IT Manager.  Ideally, you have infrastructure experience and an understanding of programming languages.  You have a proven track record of achieving the balance between being “hands on” whilst adhering to global corporate strategic objectives. You have a very high customer service ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You have the ability to recruit, train, motivate and empower your team to achieve operational excellence. You have the ability to translate big picture corporate objectives into achievable steps for your team.  You have a “can do” attitude, project management experience and the ability to build effective business relationships across all disciplines.
