This exciting opportunity is based with one of the world's largest insurance providers. A fantastic, autonomous and integral part of the company, this role is ideally suited to a very experienced compliance manager with career aspirations.
Based within CBD centrally-located offices, your focus will be solely on compliance due to internal restructure and recently installed Risk Manager. Working alongside this person, each of you will be reporting directly to a genuine, very approachable manager with an open door policy.

- Developing, implementing and publishing a compliance plan and compliance management program
- Developing a strategy to ensure the goals of compliance are met
- Working with the Risk Manager to ensure the ERM framework is maintained and enhanced
- Assessing the business impact of new laws, regulations and internal policies
- Implementing and publishing compliance-related policies
- Ensuring compliance with policies and processes
- Identifying, designing and delivering developmental compliance training to all staff
- Presenting regular reports and advice to the Boards on emerging compliance risks and trends
- Ensuring all relevant representatives maintain RG146 compliance
- Chair the AFSL committees and other compliance committees as required
- Ensuring the business efficiently and effectively meets regulatory and policy obligations

We are seeking a candidate with a solid background in compliance in the insurance arena. You should also possess:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to liaise at all levels
- Excellent technical and analytical skills
- Proactivity with involvement in industry seminars, discussion groups and forums
- The ability to develop and deliver training to associates
- Tertiary qualifications in Compliance, Accounting, Business or Law
Desirables include:
- Membership of the Australasian Compliance Institute
- Risk Management Institution of Australasia highly regarded
- Practical working knowledge of audit methodologies
