My Client is searching for a Corporate Accountant/Company Secretary to join their small but dynamic team.
They are the Operator for several joint ventures, so there is lots of variety in providing Accounting and Administration function to the Joint Venture partners, as well as the Corporate Finance aspect.
Preferred Skills/Experience/Capabilities:-
- Good knowledge of ASX rules, accounting standards (IFRS) and corporate law.
- Sound knowledge of secretarial requirements for a publicly listed company
- Sound knowledge of joint venture accounting
- Experience of Petroleum Exploration and Production industry
- Good knowledge of MYOB computerised accounting software, including job costing and budgeting functions
- CA/CPA credentials preferred
Duties and Responsibilities:-
- Accounting and Tax
- Responsibility for Accounting of the Company (BAS), Subsidiary and Joint Ventures for which it acts as operator. This includes maintaining the respective General Ledgers, Creditors Ledgers, Payroll Functions and Cash Books.
- Supervise Office Manager on accounting related tasks
- Prepare Monthly Reports for submission to management and Board meeting presentations.
- Prepare Monthly Joint Venture Statements and submit to co-venturers
- Prepare and draft Half-Yearly Financial <li>Report for the ASX
- Prepare and draft Annual Report for the <li>Shareholders and the ASX
- Company Secretary duties in lodging ASX reports.
