- Leadership role for emerging CIO
An excellent opportunity exists for a Chief Information Officer to join a well-known Melbourne institution. Working for a publicly owned organisation committed to enriching the lives of Victorians, you will play a key role as a member of the senior management team.
In this newly created position you will be responsible for managing the strategic direction and operational effectiveness of the organisation’s information systems. Reporting to the Executive Finance & Strategy you will provide leadership for the development and implementation of the enterprise information management strategy. You will also be accountable for structuring and developing a successful IS capability, leading and motivating a team where staff maximise their potential and delivering a number of exciting new IS projects.
To be successful in this role you will have a background in IS management and proven people management and leadership skills. You will have strong project management abilities and a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. You will have sound administration skills and professional standards of planning and budgeting. This role would ideally suit an IT or IS Manager looking to step up into a strategic capacity and direct a small-to-medium sized IS business unit.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work for a creative values-based organisation, where you work with a high degree of autonomy and have the opportunity to make a visible and significant contribution.
