- Lead Mechanical Engineer
- $130k to $200k depending on Experience
The past five years has seen this company grow from 200 to over 1800 employees with revenue approaching $700m pa. A well respected player within the water, electricity, gas and industrial sectors and an established Alliance project has created an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide the lead within the Engineering design group of this 5 year plus 5 year opion alliance project.
Multiple opportunities exist for experience Mechacnial Engineers with positions based in Canberra and Brisbane, reporting to the National Engineering Manager will see these roles fully utilise your developed technical and interpersonal skills to provide the technical lead across all Mechanical associated projects to ensure best project approach. Some of the key responsibilities will include:

Design Delivery of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants.

Management of multiple projects from a design delivery perspective

Troubleshooting any design solutions

Technical representative at Bid presentations

Technical Leadership of the mechanical engineering discipline within the engineering group including checking and sign-off of designs associated with Mechanical projects

Whilst no direct reports you will be challenged and satisfied with the mentoring and development of junior engineers.

Development and implementation of design standards across the group in conjunction with the leadership team of the other disciplines.
To be successful in this outstanding opportunity, we are seeking a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with substantial experience in the following:

Significant industry experience and a proven track record in design delivery within the modern water and wastewater treatment industries.

Experience working in multidisciplinary design teams. A specialist with excellent working knowledge of the various disciplines required to deliver a treatment plant. (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Process and Control)

Sound technical skills in the design, specification, procurement, installation and commissioning in: Centrifugal Pumps, Chemical Dosing, Piping Design, Process Treatment Equipment and Valving.

A background from Design and Construct/Alliance project delivery.

Previous mentoring of Junior Engineers.

Whilst being degree qualified, ideally you will also hold or be eligible to hold CPEng.
