WentWest is a unique organisation. As a regional training provider, it prepares registrars for a career in general practice. As a provider of general practice divisional services, it offers education, support and networking activities to general practices across western Sydney. These core functions, complemented by close relationships with local stakeholder organisations including the Departments of General Practice at the Universities of Sydney and Western Sydney, make WentWest the first truly integrated education and support provider for general practice in Australia.
WentWest is seeking a strategically focused and forward thinking Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate will have significant leadership and business experience, preferably including experience of the not-for-profit sector in a health related environment, and knowledge of the primary healthcare sector.
Key attributes of the successful candidate will include:
- Capacity to provide high quality strategic advice and support to the Board of Directors to ensure that WentWest remains at the forefront of primary health care development in Australia
- Advanced operational and management skills to sustain excellence in an organisation with an annual budget of $6M and 25 staff
- Superior communication and relationship management skills to sustain and develop strategic partnerships with local and national stakeholders
- Customer focus to meet the needs and expectations of registrars, general practitioners and other clients
It is essential that you have a proven track record as a successful CEO or possibly as the 2IC, ready for the move to the top job. Experience in member based organisations and adult education with appropriate tertiary qualifications are highly desirable.
