My Client is seeking a Business Development Manager / Solutions Consultant for their Automation & Controls Division, with a particular focus on Service. Understanding a clients needs and returning with a solution is the fundamental criteria for being successful in this role. They are a company that attracts the best candidates and constantly looking for proven sales professionals / engineers within this Industrial Automation arena.
Role
- We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer / BDM to focus on selling our fully automated service business. We have the capability of offering a "full service solution"
- With the backing of a product portfolio that includes PLC's / VSD's / SCADA & HMI's / Industrial Controls. The products are at the forefront of the Industry and they continue to be the market leader on various products.
- Working closely with the Operation Manager, National Service Manager and Sales Manager your aim will be to work with existing clients and introduce, develop and solidify our service arm of the business.
- We will also work on small to medium sized projects
- Our main focus is Local Manufacturing, Food & Beverage, Paper & Pulp, Water Industries, Minerals & Mining, PetroChem and Pharma to name a view.
- We also partner with OEM's, such as Panel Builders and System Integrators.

The Requirements
- Currently selling Solutions is key to being sucessful in this role. Therefore we are seeking candidates from within the sector who focus on selling solutions rather than selling products.
- Having a proven track record with a reputable company within the Automation / VSD / Industrial Control sector is highly sought.
- Core product knowledge is important. Although we give full training all candidates must have good Industry knowledge
- With the role focussed on Service it will be favourable if you are currently offering & selling service.
- Having excellent communication skills and relationship building is another key factor to being the successful candidate.
- You will be able to work autonomously and as a part of a team and above all be hungry to step up to work for a major player in this Industry.
- If you are currently a Sales Engineer with 1-3yrs experience we can offer a sales engineer role. If you are a senior sales engineer the role can become a senior sales engineer. If you are BDM again we can offer you a BDM role. We are seeking talented professionals rather than a specific skill set. If you are a looking to develop your skill set and improves your salary this is an excellent opportunity.
