An Iconic Australian financial services institution, this business has build it's reputation through both high standards of customer services and also high profits and performance against it competitors. Due to an internal restructure, they are currently looking for a Senior Internal Audit Manager to head up the investment / funds management side of the business.
Reporting directly in to the Head of Audit, you will be responsible for the audit program for a specific part of the business. You will be a senior manager of the audit group which manages a pooled resource of 10 - 12 internal auditors. Ideally you will also have a experience of working on operational audits and also have experience of putting together and working on new audit plans and also working with the business on process flow and documentation. You will be responsible for the reporting to the board on a variety of matters and act at the first point of contact on any issues or queries.
Candidates must have professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA) and have previous audit experience within either a Big 4 or banking / financial services environment. Communication skills must be first rate, both written and verbal, as you will be producing reports and working closely with senior management, the executive group and also the group audit committee. It is imperative that you are also diplomatic so you are able to deal with internal clients and sometimes make business critical decisions. You ability to develop and mentor your team is highly important as there is a high importance placed by the organisation on personal and professional development.
