Seven years in the making, out client has developed a prototype technology that has the clean energy world in a buzz- they require you to take the prototype and help architect their multi-faceted system into a product that can be sold worldwide. You will be the chief software architect, working alongside the CTO, with a mandate to build a small team to deliver within around two years. The work will involve the use of a very powerful Java framework, that is new to Australia but all the rage in Europe and the US. Key Skills/Experience:

-Proven experience architecting complex systems
-strong expertise in Java, distributed systems (CORBA, RMI)
-capable of handling and extremely high degree of complexity
-team leading skills
-strong documentation and methodology skills
- Familiarity with LINUX and scripting/data manipulation tools 
(sh, perl, python) a plus
-any knowledge of the OSGI framework a definite advantage
-experience with embedded device applications
