This exciting opportunity has recently opened up due to an internal promotion with a leading Australian newspaper publisher. The primary focus of the Sales Director role is to lead and mentor the sales team as well as managing and developing an established relationship.
Located in Townsville North Queensland this position reports direct to the CEO and is responsible for a sales team of over 30 staff.
The successful candidate will be an advertising sales professional with relevant Newspaper publishing experience.
Responsibilities include:

Lead and motivate the sales team

Maintaining and build agency and client relationships including several key accounts across a diverse range of industries

Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies
You will have:
-
Publishing experience ideally from a newspaper environment
-
High level agency experience plus experience with direct clients

Management experience and strong leadership skills to drive performance, mentor and continue to develop the team

Excellent sales, negotiation and presentation skills
-
Ability to formulate budgets, provide accurate forecasts and set individual financial and performance targets

Ability to build strong relationships across the entire team
