Medical Director - Assistant Sydney - $190K + Super + Bonus
Our client is an International Operations Company (Alarm Centre) providing 24 hour international medical and travel assistance to corporate members and travel insurance customers when they are travelling or living overseas.
Position Overview:
The Deputy Medical Director provides day-to-day operational leadership to the medical team as the first point of reference for all aspects of operational procedures, complex case handling and administrative issues. In addition performs the key function of a Coordinating Doctor.
Full registration to practice medicine in Australia and/or New Zealand required.
Medical Experience Criteria:
Essential:
- Accident and Emergency or General Practice
At least 5 years post graduation
Desirable:
- Intensive Care
- Assistance Medicine
- Aviation Medicine
- Remote Area Medicine
- Paediatrics
- People Management
- Tele-medicine
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Work effectively with non-medical staff
- Integrate medical information and produce recommendations to clients
- Present medical information to non-medical staff and clients
- Effectively balance medical needs with commercial considerations
- Computer literate in MS Outlook, MS Word key board skills
- Professional written and verbal communication skills

This is a Full time position, Monday - Friday 8am to 6pm ( 38 hrs per week). 4 weeks annual leave and up to $31K bonus. To start in January 2009.
