An outstanding career opportunity exists for a CPA or CA qualified individual seeking to grow their career, to join one of Australia’s largest privately owned construction industry suppliers.
Included in its primary business is the sale, service and hire of construction equipment, with significant plans for diversification and growth. As a result, the appointment of a highly skilled individual with comprehensive experience in financial accounting is now a must.
In addition to the monthly financial reporting, the successful candidate will be involved in improvements to reporting processes, tax and statutory accounting and compliance, as well as the supervision and development of a small finance team. Leadership skills and the ability to be an implementer of change and motivation are a must. This role also requires a commitment to continuous improvement within the finance area.
To be successful you will have a professional qualification in accounting, a high level of technical accounting skill, tax and compliance knowledge and strong PC skills, particularly Excel. Advanced analytical skills, financial modelling experience and a demonstrated understanding of financial systems, methods and outputs are essential. In addition, clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to mentor and supervise are essential.
