Our client is a highly reputable and dynamic media company with an impressive and diverse portfolio of proprietary websites and business streams, and a well resourced, highly capable technology team located in Sydney. In terms of environment this particular business unit works across several business units, providing scaleable online solutions.
This exciting newly created role will see you consult with internal customers across a number of business units, providing analysis, design and development management in the provision of online solutions. You will have hands-on development skills around the Java space, an appreciation of front-end and website building technologies (including large-scale CMS) and design and management skills to be successful in applying for this role.
In summary the role involves:
• Online solutions designs skills and experience – ability to take a holistic view, business analysis skills and design of solutions within given technology platform parameters
• Technical leadership – internet technologies, complex web applications development and infrastructure from a hands-on leadership perspective
• Thought leadership including the presentation of ideas to relevant parties
• Project Management, include upward negotiation and management
• Extensive stakeholder management
• Working very effectively as part of a highly capable team
The successful candidate with have:
• Proven experience of working with internet technologies and providing effective technology solutions in this space – in particular Java/Oracle, and large-scale CMS
• Hands-on development capability around the Java and Front End technology space, including the leadership and mentoring of a development team
• Proven analysis and project management skills, as well as a creative approach to problem solving
• An ability to interact effectively with and influence a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
