The PNG Advisory Support Facility (ASF) is an AusAID funded program which provides capacity building assistance to key PNG Government agencies. Working as an ASF Adviser is a challenging and rewarding experience with the satisfaction of working alongside PNG counterparts to achieve development goals. PNG is a diverse and exciting country, providing opportunities for recreation, travel and cultural experiences. ASF is seeking six specialist Advisers in the area of Human Resources to join four of our partner agencies.
COFF-807 Strategic Human resource adviser
Department of Personnel Management (DPM):
As the Strategic Human Resource Adviser, you will provide advice and assistance to your colleagues in advice the Department of Personnel Management (DPM) in the devolution of human resource management of responsibilities from DPM to line agencies.
A particular focus of this position will be assisting in the development and implementation of HR strategies and plans to support the devolution Plan and Corporate Plan, inlcuding workforce planning, performance management and training and development plans, as well as supportung DPM in the transition to a client focused culture.
In order to be considered for these positions, applicants must be able to demonstrate significant human resource expertise across a wide range of key HR functions combined with strong communication and change management skills, and have the ability to apply these in a developing country context. Women are encouraged to apply for these positions. Tax free status may be possible for full-time ASF positions over 90 days.
