We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant who is looking for their next challenge within Corporate & Specialised Finance. Working closely with the Senior Manager - C&SF, the Line of Business Executives and their teams, you will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis.
The role has a strong strategic focus and is pivotal in supporting the organisation's decision-making capability.
On a daily basis you will be:
- Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with the senior management of CS&F to provide value-added financial support to the business;
- Monitoring the financial performance of the business unit against targets and key performance indicators;
- Coordinating and delivering month-end management reporting requirements;
- Delivering forecast and budget requirement for the business, including comprehensive P&L, Balance Sheet, Capital Planning and Stress Testing reporting;
- Analysing and commenting on the month end results, Basel II performance, material variances in performance to budget, forecast and trend data;
- Contributing to robust budget and forecast methodologies against line of business;
- Pre-empting, identifying and highlighting to the Executive adverse trends in profitability drivers;
- Undertaking ad hoc financial modelling and making recommendations as to the profitability of business ventures and acquisitions;
- Liaising with Executive Team & Senior Management regarding the interpretation of finance statements and profitability;
- Overseeing the day to day operations of C&SF Analysis and Management Reporting team and ensuring the highest quality of management information and integrity of numbers;
- Assisting Finance and the business in respect of the core system replacement projects and transition projects;
- Assisting in the management and delivery of the Finance Team's targeted expense base and assist in driving accountability in the business for meeting FTE and cost challenges.
- You will possess strong communication skills in dealing with managers and internal customers and be accountable to internal and external stakeholders for accuracy and timeliness of information provided.
