The role of Category Specialist will be responsible for managing a range of key categories with respect to cost efficiency, spend reduction, supplier relationship development and performance, including sourcing and contract development within our client’s facilities management, property and operational division. Focusing on project delivery and implementation this role will review existing agreements, source new suppliers and negotiate contract requirements. In addition, ongoing monitoring of supplier performance, including execution of all contracts, ensuring compliance in all aspects of service agreements are being met. The Category Specialist will also be expected to manage and improve relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining commercially sound vendor partnerships.
This role will suit procurement professionals with proven experience in category management of goods and services in one or all of the following areas, facilities management, property and operations. It is essential that interested Category Specialists are able to demonstrate their expertise in commercial contracts, supplier relationship development; spend optimastion within these specific categories and stakeholder management. Presenting with exemplary interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, you will be highly organised with a high sense of urgency, crucial to meeting the demands of this challenging role.
