The growth area for this firm is that they don’t have SME clients and want to develop this space in their business. The current 200-250 clients have come from a legacy of one of Brisbane’s largest 2nd Tiers and are either large corporates or HNW individuals. The average fees here are $20-30K per client so you won’t find yourself endlessly reviewing tax returns.

These experienced Partners will actively help grow your fee base and you will run the Business Services department with equity on offer in the short-term.

They have appointed Directors of each business. Ie. Audit and Financial Planning. Each Director is responsible for their own area and gains all the financial benefits without being diluted by the other divisions. As the Business Services division is the biggest and strongest in this firm you will be put in a strong equity position.

It will be important for you to ensure that there is a cultural fit with the Partners and make sure that you can smoothly integrate your fee base. At this stage envisage a 12 month “bedding down” period where you can both ensure it is a fit before moving to equity.

National firm. You will have fees in the SME area that you can bring . CA or CPA. 7 + years local practice experience.
