Succession plan from Project Director to Executive Team Lead
As Principal Project Director of Environmental Impact Assessments and Permitting, your influence flows upwards to the corporate strategy and planning of the Executive Management Team, as well as downwards to a team of almost 50 environmental planners and technical specialists who run projects under your leadership.
Balance your technical expertise and people management skills on some of Australia’s largest critical infrastructure projects as you coordinate and implement across:
- Power, Energy, Mining, Road and Rail projects
- Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)
- Environmental Assessments (EA)
- Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMP)
- Government and Private stakeholder negotiations
- Integrate tailored sustainability demands into projects
You’ll be working for Australia's market leader in the planning and implementation of large scale multi billion dollar State significant projects. The environment team is a standalone function group within a greater network of engineering disciplines the world over. This specific team has grown from 20 to 50 since 2007 and is implementing similar growth now and into the future.
This influential Senior position is perfect for a young Environmental Professional who is not yet at the Executive level. There is an expectation that you see your career progressing into an Executive Team Manager / National Leader in the coming years with a succession plan to achieve just this as the current moves into retirement.
As you know, the Environment and Planning space is ever changing, with current political and media hype (emphasis on Copenhagen) adding to this turbulence. As such, you’ll apply your commercial acumen and business savvy to deal with clients expectations on delivery schedules, plans to strengthen operations between Australia and South East Asia, and to shape the direction of the business in general.
The perfect candidate will have one or more of the following: Bachelor Degree Qualifications in engineering, sciences, environmental planning or environmental law; 12+ years similar experience in the environmental consulting field; Strong NSW legislation knowledge (part 3a, 4, 5 of the EP&A Act)
